NEW YORK — Actress Lindsay Lohan made cameo appearance in ”Ugly Betty.” We spotted LiLo in Long Island City filming with co-star America Ferrera.
It was interesting to watch Lindsay mix inexpensive apparel like red tank top and Dickies pants ($20) with rather expensive Cartier bracelet and a desirable Blackberry Bold smart phone. AT&T, which will release Blackberry Bold first, hasn’t set release date yet, but Lindsay already uses one to text her friends.
NEW YORK — Singer Miley Cyrus looked rocker chic on Friday. Miley was dressed in a latex leggings, embellished lace vest, rock band t-shirt accessorized with two metal studded belts while making an appearance on “Total Request Live” in Times Square.
Miley is currently working on a movie version of her hit “Hannah Montana” show.
NEW YORK — Actress Rachel Bilson is set to release her fashion line of junior sportswear, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans. The line, which includes 15 items, will be carried by department stores like Macy’s, Dillard’s and Nordstrom when it is released in September 2008.
Rachel named the line for her grandmother, Edie, and Rose, for a close family friend, because Rachel didn’t want to use her own name.
The “Jumper” star, who turns 27 on August 25, recently told Women’s Wear Daily that she wants to put her acting on hold to focus on fashion endeavors.
NEW YORK — There’s big fashion trade show, PROJECT, comes to town on Monday, July 21, 2008. PROJECT, which has very impressive list of presented brands, will be a major event featuring next year’s fashion trends, panels, showcases and networking.
PROJECT will continue through July 23 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center located at 655 West 34 Street in New York.
Abbey Dawn is Avril Lavigne’s childhood nickname. Abbey Dawn is also the name of juniors clothing line the Canadian rocker has launched for Kohl’s just in time for 2008 back-to-school season.
The line, which targets female consumers in their 20s with items priced up to $40, is all about Avril’s personal style — hoodies and skinny jeans, hot pink and purple, stripes and zebra print, studs and lots of graphics. Undoubtedly Avril Lavigne (so as Abbey Dawn) has very distinct style which blends rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic with feminine edge.
Avril is the designer and will release new items every 60 days. She also likes to try everything on and approve clothes before they are made.
Avril’s fashion pursuit is part of Kohl’s “Inspired by the Artists … worn by you” campaign, which also features Lenny Kravitz, Hayden Panettiere and Vanessa Carlton.
Music and fashion aren’t the only interests in Avril’s life. Lavigne was quoted saying that she wanted to pursue a film career as well.

NEW YORK – Iconix Brand Group, Inc. announced yesterday that Hayden Panettiere will star in the company’s junior brand, Candie’s, back to school 2008 advertising campaign.
Hayden, who is known as an award-winning actress, activist and star of NBC’s hit television series, “Heroes” can now add recording artist to her resume. The new fall Candie’s television commercial will be a direct lift from Panettiere’s first ever music video “Wake Up Call.”
Panettiere’s music video “Wake Up Call” was styled exclusively by Candie’s apparel, footwear and accessories, available only at Kohl’s Department Stores and Kohls.com.
Hayden Panettiere stated, “The concept of my video is to give a guy who doesn’t treat his girlfriend well a wake up call and show him all the different aspects of a woman’s personality.
