British Vogue Magazine reports that Nicole Kidman wears  Salvatore Ferragamo footwear in upcoming Baz Lurhmann’s adventure drama “Australia” which will be released in the US on November 14, 2008.

SHOEMAKER to the stars, Salvatore Ferragamo, has teamed up with Oscar winning costume designer Catherine Martin to create the shoes for Nicole Kidman in her upcoming film Australia, directed by Baz Lurhmann.

“We are extremely proud and honoured to work with the visionary filmmakers, director Baz Luhrmann and designer Catherine Martin. We are very confident that, though their passion and creativity, they would realise an unprecedented vision,” explains James Ferragamo.

“My grandfather, Salvatore Ferragamo, began his career working in costume design for the American Film Company, a precursor to Twentieth Century Fox, so it is only fitting that we carry on his name and our company’s heritage by collaborating once again on a film from Fox,” he adds.

Due to be released in November, see Kidman sport an exquisite selection of shoes including evening sandal, riding boot and classic wedge styles. Selected shoes will go on to be sold at Ferragamo stores worldwide, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity explaining the history of the piece.

The shoes will also be displayed for the first time in Milan at the Evolving Legend Exhibition from September 24.

NEW YORK — Hardly a fashion icon, Julia Roberts, nevertheless, keeps her channels with fashion world open.

Roberts has designed a limited edition t-shirt for Emporio Armani’s (PRODUCT) RED. Emporio Armani RED Collection benefits charity organization (RED) which was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness and money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. This task is achieved by teaming up with the world’s leading brands to produce (PRODUCT) RED - branded products.

“Julia has helped to create beautiful and unique designs for both women and men, which will be a visible reminder of the part that we can all play in fighting AIDS in Africa,” said Giorgio Armani. “I adore working with Julia and appreciate, once again, how she always stands by my side in important collaborations such as this.”

The t-shirt features symbolic ‘tree of life’ and the words ‘Revolution-Evolution-Devotion’ — which acronym RED stands for. T-shirts available for both men and women in grey, red, white and black and retail for $125.

NEW YORK – Beyonce Knowles’ little sister Solange Knowles visited “Late Show With David Letterman” earlier this week. Solange mixed and matched for the occasion an ostrich feathered bolero in plum color from TopShop, a massive gold necklace, Armani jeans and printed pink boots (very interesting).

NEW YORK — Vanessa Minnillo was busy in the city promoting her new movie, “Disaster Movie.” We spotted Vanessa at MTV Studios yesterday where she made an appearance on TRL. She used to host TRL a while ago, memba?

Vanessa wore turquoise Black Halo bustier mini dress (retails at about $325) paired with tan slingback shoes.

They sang at 2003 MTV Movie Awards “They’re Not Gonna Get Us,” but apparently fashion weasel Marc Jacobs did get them. Russian music duo TATU will appear in Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2008/2009 Russian ad campaign.

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Singer Sheryl Crow is the latest celebrity to try her hand at fashion design, and apparel retail chain Dillard’s now carries her line dubbed Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow.

Bootheel Trading Co., which is named after Missouri region ‘boot heel’ where Sheryl was born, is a mixture of western-flavored vintage rock ‘n’ roll chic and mainstream items including tees, shirts, vests, jeans and other denim apparel.

Crow’s debut collection has been developed by Sheryl’s personal stylist and to an extent channels Sheryl’s personal style. The collection is quite affordable with items priced up to $62 for bottoms, and $35 for tops.

The 46-year-old breast cancer survivor says, ”I’ve spent years collecting some of the most amazing pieces and never thought I would be able to bring the spirit of this vintage, laid-back fashion to life with comparable quality at a price with every woman in mind.”

The line is manufactured by Canada-based Western Glove Works, which also makes Victoria Beckham’s dVb line.

NEW YORK — A picture like this on the left prompts a question: how many bodyguards does it take for Lindsay Lohan to feel safe? Then we realized that the bodyguards actually protect us, the public, from Lindsay Lohan — more specifically — from Lindsay’s character, Kimberly, from the popular TV show “Ugly Betty.”

Kimberly, who is Betty’s classmate on the show, is very mean girl. She already turned Betty into a ‘human shield’ during a ball game in second season finale, and upcoming third season promises to be even more interesting with twisted storylines and bagels flying. Lindsay Lohan will appear in at least 4 episodes, and we can’t wait to see what Li Lo has up her sleeve. Season 3 premieres on September 25th. 

We caught Li Lo in Queens today while she and America Ferrera (not pictured) were filming new episodes. Lindsay joggled between slutty outfit and cheerleader uniform.

NEW YORK — Future Broadway star Katie Holmes celebrates coming autumn by wearing Tod’s cropped trench coat. Katie mixed and matched her chic outerwear with black leggings and ballet flats. As always, Katie carries her favorite Chloe bag (yawn).
