NEW YORK — Don’t forget to check out Lauren Conrad’s contemporary apparel collection on your next shopping trip to Bloomingdale’s.

Apparently “WWD” and Bloomingdale’s executives are raving about Conrad’s Fall 2008 collection which is conveniently displayed on the second floor of Bloomingdale’s flagship store on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan just across from Nanette Lepore section. Conrad’s fashion line is stylish and affordable with most items priced under $200. It’s such a hit and is selling out immediately. Production can’t even supply enough to meet growing demand.

Recently there were reports circulating on the Net that Lauren Conrad was not even designer of her own collection. At some point “OK Magazine” even mentioned Sherry Wood as real behind-the-scenes designer. Conrad, however,  ferociously denied these rumors and claimed that she was very hands-on and definitely the only designer of her line.

Those who don’t have access to Bloomingdale’s can go directly to Lauren Conrad’s web site where she presents bigger selection of dresses and other apparel. Canadian residents can also check Holt Renfrew department stores.

In the other news, ‘busy bee’ Conrad is planning to add another major project to her joggling act. In addition to starring in the popular TV show “The Hills” and being fashion designer, Lauren is planning to become a writer. She just inked a deal with HarperCollins for a series of young adult fiction novels called “L.A. Candy.” The storyline will be loosely based on Conrad’s own tranformation from regular gal to celebrity.

OK, how’s our favorite newcomer Demi Lovato doing?

16-year-old singer, whose debut album “Don’t Forget” is out today, is set to make cameo appearance on “Ugly Betty” which will air on Thursday, September 25th on ABC Network.

Demi’s another big professional development is that she is to star in upcoming Disney Channel TV Show, “Sonny With A Chance.”

The show is about a girl who is given a chance to make it in show business. The first episode is almost done, and filming will continue through the next few months. The show will be released in early 2009, and we won’t be surprised if Demi’s show will eventually replace Miley Syrus and her Disney’s “Hannah Montana.”

 Meanwhile, YouTube has a pretty neat collection of amateur video clips of Demi Lovato hanging out with her fans on the set of “Sonny With A Chance.” There are also random clips of Demi with her friends and fans recorded by Demi herself. We lifted a few clips for your convenience.

waking up in nyc this morning 7 years later and it feels like just yesterday this city and our worlds were turned upside down…. never in my lifetime had I ever believed that I would see such horror- the kind that you see in documentaries set in far off places and read about in text books- never in my life had I ever thought that I would wake up and fall asleep afraid- watching things on television that felt like a film- walking through a city that felt like a war zone. there were army vehicles on houston street, barricades dividing neighbourhoods and lines around the block of people waiting to donate blood set in front of a backdrop of smoke filling a space where two of the largest buildings once stood. Two buildings that shaped one of the most famous skylines in this country, or in the world…… Seven years later and I will never forget. I don’t really know what to say except to all those we lost we will never forget and never take for granted the sacrifices that you made.

NEW YORK — Actress Liv Tyler wears all black as she departs from her hotel on the 7th anniversary of terrorist attack on World Trade Center. Even though Liv did not have any personal experience of 9/11, still she felt ”emotional and vulnerable” after the attacks. Tyler, whose New York townhouse is located only 2 miles from World Trade Center, starred in 2007 movie about 9/11 aftermath, “Reign Over Me.”

NEW YORK — Lindsay Lohan looked radiant today on the set of “Ugly Betty” in Central Park. Being busy seems to be a positive thing for LiLo. We are sure Lindsay’s appearance on ”Ugly Betty” will be good for the show too. Lindsay initially was supposed to appear on three episodes, but now this number is increased to five.

When Lindsay is on the set she gets all the attention from paparazzi and fans, but the show’s lead actress, America Ferrera, doesn’t seem to mind. Or maybe she does ;) .

Lindsay is wearing a Herve Leger Off-The-Shoulder dress. Saks Fifth Avenue retails this dress for over $1000. Lindsay accessorized her dress with an array of bracelets (including her favorite Cartier), Ray-Ban wayfares, fishnet stockings and a pair of smashing ‘Picasso meets Malevich’ Pierre Hardy stilettos. When the camera wasn’t rolling, Lindsay preferred to wear more comfortable brown suede moccasins.

NEW YORK — On Monday night, Nicole Richie rigged in a Jennifer Behr crystal headwrap (or maybe Stacey Lapidus), James Perse tank top, Marc Jacobs leather skirt (Resort 2008 Collection) and Pierre Hardy gladiator heels.

NEW YORK — Jessica Simpson has made an appearance on “Good Morning America” TV show Tuesday morning. Besides apparent sound equipment malfunction that forced Jess to briefly stop singing her platinum hit ‘With You,’ she also, in our opinion, had a big problem with her outfit.

Poor choice of a dress made usually skinny Jess look 20 lb. heavier or if she was pregnant. Of course, neither of the above is true, but as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words!” So, Jessica, be more critical of your stylist’s decisions next time.
