Celebrities Who Matter!

WASHINGTON, DC — This post is way off topic, but we felt we needed to sum-up those celebrities who helped our new President Barack Obama get the job! By the way, we proudly voted for Obama too!

Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner cast their votes for Barack Obama in Santa Monica, CA. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel voted at 7am in Hollywood, CA!

Another Hollywood couple, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen, voted for Obama in Los Angeles, CA. Actually it was only Rachel Bilson who voted. Hayden missed out on a chance to vote as he is Canadian citizen.

German model Heidi Klum voted for the first time after recently receiving U.S. citizenship. Klum said: “I just got my citizenship for America, so now I’m going to be voting, too. I’m voting for Obama!”

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs hit the voting station for 104th election district on the East Coast in NYC to vote for Obama. Combs later said, “I felt like my vote was the vote that put him into office. It was down to one vote, and that was going to be my vote. And that may not be true, but that’s how much power it felt like I had.”

Ryan Phillippe had to wait in line for 30 minutes at his local voting station in Los Angeles to vote for Barack Obama. Once finished, Phillippe revealed that he spent weekend in Missouri campaigning for Obama and that he voted a ‘No’ on Prop 8.

Kanye West said: “HI MOM, OBAMA WON!” Let us remind you that West’s mother Donda passed away recently as the result of complications from cosmetic surgery.

Oprah Winfrey reacted to Obama’s victory by saying, “There are not even words to talk about what this night means. It’s one of the greatest moments I could ever imagine. That’s how great it is.”

Brad Pitt cheered up at Obama’s victory speech.

Hayden Panettiere voted for Obama at a West Hollywood voting station. Earlier in 2008, Panettiere met Obama at a political rally at the American University in Washington, D.C.

Lindsay Lohan just said, “YES WE CAN,” and Samantha Ronson added, “YES WE DID!”

Left-wing actor, Tim Robbins, had to wait for 5 hours and get judge’s order allowing him to vote.

“Sex And The City” star Sarah Jessia Parker made Election Day a family outing. SJP, Matthew Broderick and son James Wilkie went to the polls together to vote for the change. Even little Wilkie who needs to wait another 12 years before he can vote, was wearing an Obama badge.

Natalie Portman donated her time to the Obama campaign ‘for change’ at a phone bank in New York. Meanwhile Orlando Bloom campaigned ‘for change’ on the West Coast.

Kirsten Dunst, besides making an early vote for Obama, turned documentary maker and videotaped her voting.

Christina Aguilera and husband, Jordan Bratman, voted too, albeit we don’t know for whom. We also don’t know who Talor Swift voted for, but we know that she had to wait in a very long line at a local voting station in Tennessee.

Other Obama voters include Pete Wentz, Cynthia Nixon, Marisa Tomei, George Lopez, Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z, Mary J Blige, Brandy, and many others!
