NEW YORK– There are rumors circulating on the Net that NBC Networks is cancelling Lipstick Jungle due to poor ratings. Even though NBC did not officially confirm the cancellation, crew members on location at Rockefeller Center confirmed today that they were filming show’s last episode.

Lipstick Jungle starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price is the story about three high-powered New York career women whose professional lives affect their happiness.

The show is based on a book by Candace Bushnell who also wrote the script for Sex And The City. We remember, there was so much crying on the set when HBO sacked Sex And The City back in 2004.

NEW YORK — Michael Jordan watches his team, Charlotte Bobcats play New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden last week. Jordan, who is part-owner of North Caroline-based basketball team, recently expressed his desire to have Charlotte Bobcats all to himself.

Jordan told The Charlotte Observer last Friday that he would be interested in taking control of the Bobcats from majority owner Bob Johnson if and when he decided to sell the team.

“When Bob wants to step aside, I have no problem stepping in and saying, ‘Hey, look, I’d love to take control of this franchise,”‘ Jordan said in a story on the newspaper’s website. “But Bob, he’s not at that point now. He still enjoys owning the basketball team.”

Jordan bought a minority stake in the Bobcats in 2006 and Johnson gave him total control over the team’s basketball operations. The fifth-year franchise has never made the playoffs and Johnson has acknowledged losing millions on the team, which has struggled to draw fans.

WESTCHESTER, NY — Actress Jessica Alba and Chris Messina began filming their new movie An Invisible Sign of My Own in New York last week. It’s a heartfelt story exploring the complicated connections between children and adults. The movie is based on a novel by Aimee Bender and is directed by Marilyn Agrelo.

Another Hollywood couple, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen, voted for Obama in Los Angeles, CA. Actually it was only Rachel Bilson who voted. Hayden missed out on a chance to vote as he is Canadian citizen.

German model Heidi Klum voted for the first time after recently receiving U.S. citizenship. Klum said: “I just got my citizenship for America, so now I’m going to be voting, too. I’m voting for Obama!”

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs hit the voting station for 104th election district on the East Coast in NYC to vote for Obama. Combs later said, “I felt like my vote was the vote that put him into office. It was down to one vote, and that was going to be my vote. And that may not be true, but that’s how much power it felt like I had.”

Ryan Phillippe had to wait in line for 30 minutes at his local voting station in Los Angeles to vote for Barack Obama. Once finished, Phillippe revealed that he spent weekend in Missouri campaigning for Obama and that he voted a ‘No’ on Prop 8.

Kanye West said: “HI MOM, OBAMA WON!” Let us remind you that West’s mother Donda passed away recently as the result of complications from cosmetic surgery.

Oprah Winfrey reacted to Obama’s victory by saying, “There are not even words to talk about what this night means. It’s one of the greatest moments I could ever imagine. That’s how great it is.”

Natalie Portman donated her time to the Obama campaign ‘for change’ at a phone bank in New York. Meanwhile Orlando Bloom campaigned ‘for change’ on the West Coast.

Kirsten Dunst, besides making an early vote for Obama, turned documentary maker and videotaped her voting.

Christina Aguilera and husband, Jordan Bratman, voted too, albeit we don’t know for whom. We also don’t know who Talor Swift voted for, but we know that she had to wait in a very long line at a local voting station in Tennessee.

NEW ORLEANS, LA — Brad Pitt’s second movie this year is set for Christmas Day release. Brad stars alongside talented Cate Blanchett in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” which is a strange story somewhat echoing the 1986 “Highlander” but without all the violence.

The movie is adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards and is unable to stop time. The story is set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be.

With vintage-theme styles being so popular this year, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” has a big chance to influence fashion and bring even more vintage-like clothing into our closets. This is especially true for Cate Blanchett’s various looks from the movie.

Costume designer, Jacqueline West, worked closely with Levi’s and utilized their vintage collections to authenticate various time periods shown in the movie. West also collaborated with Los Angeles based vintage clothing boutique, The Way We Wore, where she picked more than 100 items to create Cate’s late 1940s looks.
