Spotted: Fashion of Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 5
NEW YORK — OK, here’s the next brick into our ”Gossip Girl” shrine.
Let’s take a closer look at GG episode 5, “The Serena Also Rises.” This episode, which happens during New York Fashion Week, definitely stands out. There are lots of apparel and accessories. Interesting, how many mystery items we are going to get? XOXO
.

Mystery items 1 through 4: Blair Waldorf’s skirt, blouse, tie and a bag.

Jenny Humphrey is on the way to school with her brother Dan. Jenny’s wearing a French Toast school uniform with Zara blouse and a $480 Katherine Kwei handbag. Jenny is also wearing a Tarina Tarantino small Crystal Barbie Medallion which retails for $95.

Lily van der Woodsen (played by Kelly Rutherford) checks out her art collection and greets her daughter Serena in the morning. She is wearing a purple Rebecca Taylor ruffled blouse which retails at Neiman Marcus for $230.

Serena van der Woodsen is wearing a mystery vest — her brown hand bag is a mystery too.

Serena van der Woodsen is featured in “Women’s Wear Daily.” She is wearing a Catherine Malandrino Yellow Butterfly dress.

Serena is talking to her mom about Eleanor Waldorf’s upcoming fashion show. Serena is wearing a mystery top (or dress).

Blair decides to retaliate Jenny H. for re-arranging a seat chart for Eleanor Waldorf’s fashion show. While at it, Blair is wearing a Lily Print silk sleeveless blouse (retails for $255) and a beige Ribbon Bow cardigan (retails for $355) by Milly.

Blair - Serena power struggle continues. This time the epicenter is Eleanor Waldorf’s fashion show. Blair is wearing a mystery black top and shorts with pleats. Meanwhile Serena is wearing What Comes Around Goes Around Deco chiffon top inspired by 20s Egyptian Revival theme (retails for about $295).

Jenny is ready for Eleanor Waldorf’s fashion show. Jenny is wearing a dress she ‘made’ herself — meaning that the dress was created by GG leading fashion guy, Eric Daman. Jenny accessorized with a red Tarina Tarantino necklace and mystery shoes and bag.

Lily van der Woodsen puzzled us with these two lovely dresses.

Blair - Serena feud continues at Eleanor Waldorf’s fashion show. Serena is dressed in a LaRok dress and carries Canel 2.55 flap bag. Blair wore a dress designed by Eric Daman with a headband by Sami Rattner and a triple pearl ring by Alexis Bittar.

This episode’s high point was Serena’s appearance on runway in a dress made Jenny Humphrey (think Eric Daman) – not by Eleanor Waldorf. The dress was accessorized with Jimmy Choo exotic skin heels.
