NEW YORK — Actress Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in much-anticipated Arthur Miller’s revival play “All My Sons” on Thursday night. After months of hard work, rehearsals and previews nothing spoiled Katie’s triumph — even large anti-Scientology protests outside the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on West 45th Street where premiere took place.

There were about 35 protesters just down the block from the theater carrying posters and chanting ”Scientology kills,” “Save Katie, Keep Tom” and “Run, Katie, Run.” Even though New York Police Department granted the permit to conduct the protest, there were more than three dozen police officers to keep order.

Katie is said to be so right for the part she is playing. Her celebrity status also generats much buzz about the play. “All My Sons” grossed more than $680,000 during its first week of previews.

NEW YORK — Junior actress Taylor Momsen, who plays Jenny Humphrey on “Gossip Girl,” attended the screening of “Filth and Wisdom” on Monday night. Taylor was wearing a custom-made Dolce & Gabbana dress in grey paired with black booties.

15-year-old Taylor seems to be taking advice from her character Jenny Humphrey who ditched classes to spend more time doing fashion design (watch “Gossip Girl: The Serena Also Rises”). Taylor has been attending different events and parties lately — thus was getting lots of exposure. We are just wondering if Taylor in real life gets any free time for education? Perhaps she does not need one? Taylor’s modeling career is about to take off big time! Momsen had signed with IMG Modeling Agency a few months ago and recently did high fashion photo shoot for October 2008 “Crash Magazine.”

NEW YORK — Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber attended the New York screening of Madonna’s short comedy, “Filth and Wisdom” on Monday night.

Watts, who is pregnant with her second child, was dressed in a purple satin Dolce & Gabbana dress accessorized with a grey metallic clutch and Vera Wang rhinestone snake collar.

When we saw Naomi, whom by the way we like very much, we thought that Dolce & Gabbana fashion house is not that good at making maternity apparel. Unfortunately Naomi’s outfit did not impress us at all. The dress did not fit her right, and the snake necklace with the dress was clearly mismatched.

NEW YORK — Lindsay Lohan attended the New York screening of Madonna’s directorial debut — a short comedy titled, “Filth And Wisdom” on Monday night at IFC Cinema. LiLo donned for the occasion an embellished Little Black Dress by Dolce & Gabbana and Yves Saint Laurent black Tribute pumps with a 5-inch heel.

NEW YORK – She’s a singer and world class entertainer. She writes children’s books and acts in the movies. Today Madonna is the movie director screening her debut comedy, “Filth and Wisdom” in New York on October 13. Madonna is said to be a perfectionist and is very dedicated when it comes to directing.

Madonna, who also wrote the script, says – ”I’m so happy with the finished product. Writing it was actually my favourite part because it is so different from everything I do and deep down inside I’m really a writer.”

In the movie, Madonna allegedly paid tribute to her pal Britney Spears. “Filth and Wisdom” features a stripper dressed as a catholic school girl dancing to Britney’s track, ”Baby One More Time.” Britney herself was dressed in the similar outfit for her debut single all the way back in 1997.

NEW YORK– “Gossip Girl” Episode 4 of Season 2, “The Ex-Files,” marks the first day of school season and the first day of the senior year for GG people. As we begin this compilation we anticipate another explosion of fashion (including school uniforms) and drama which portrays Upper East side so well. We also intend to improve quality of images we post. While we did our best to ID as much as we could, there are still few mystery items — so, bear with us until we hear back from GG PR. XOXO

 
All right, boys in school uniform — so manly. While Chuck Bass (played by Ed Westwick) varies his uniform, Dan Humphrey (played by Penn Badgley) is wearing pretty much the same he was wearing last year. Maybe he even has the same bag (can’t remember).

 
 
 
 

Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively) considers not going to school because of her breakup with Dan but eventually does. Serena’s uniform is by French Toast combined with James Perse Mini Jersey (retails for $44), Maison Martin Margiela west, Ralph Lauren tartan skinny tie and floral ballet flats that look a lot like London Sole. She is also wearing beige Veronique Branquinho shoes. Serena’s grey leather bag and a scarf are still mystery items. Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana has very similar silk scarves though.

NEW YORK — Actress-turned-fashion-designer Lauren Conrad at the premiere of
“The Dark Knight” on Monday (7/14/2008). We’ve noticed that LC accessorized her
sassy Dolce & Gabbana cocktail dress with a pair of black satin Christian Louboutin
peep-toe heels. It appears LC is a huge fan of CL. We saw LC wear
Christian Louboutin creations on many different occasions.
