Stars In Sunglasses — Incognito Or Not?

NEW YORK — Celebrities treat sunglasses as multipurpose must-have accessory that helps to block some rays, or protects from the blinding flashbulbs of the paparazzi, or simply spices up an outfit. The bigger the better is the current mantra in Hollywood and as always, they have to be top-of-the-line. Can you recognize some of your favorite stars hiding behing oversized frames with dark lenses?

The Lohans Parading Handbags!

New York — We bumped into Lindsay Lohan and her family and were amused by the handbag show The Lohans put on. Of course Lindsay was the star of the evening and shone with her fabulous Dolce & Gabbana limited edition bag of which only 9 other copies exist. The bag, which is part of D&G Summer 2008 collection, is made of exotic python skin and has an exclusive creation number, i.e. ”1 of 10.”

Lindsay was also wearing her signature black leggings, black leather bomber jacket, and Christian Louboutin Mad Mary studded shoes. Jennifer Lopez has these shoes in white.

Gucci Offers The Best Customer Experience

NEW YORK — High net-worth consumers rated Gucci the fashion brand that offers the best customer experience in the 2008 Luxury Customer Experience Index (LCEI) survey from the independent New York-based Luxury Institute (www.LuxuryInstitute.com). Respondents commented that Gucci has “leading edge style,” “immediate recognition,” “beautiful handbags,” and it is “one of the top designer brands.” Others commented, “The name says it all!” Louis Vuitton and Faconnable ranked second and third, respectively.

“It is no accident that Gucci rated first in customer experience since it is run by executives who feel very comfortable in their customer-centric skins and who fly the plane with measuring instruments, not intuition,” said Milton Pedraza, CEO of the Luxury Institute. “In a luxury world that is being commoditized by me-too competition, an extraordinary customer experience is the most critical determinant of luxury prestige. Our impartial surveys are designed to measure the voice of the high net-worth consumers and are conducted with independent panels weighted to reflect national results. Results are tabulated by external analytical experts to ensure a level of transparency and objectivity that has earned us the trust of consumers, the industry and the media.”

A national sample of 1,613 wealthy American consumers, with an average income of $350K and average net worth of $3.7 million, was surveyed online. Survey results are weighted to match demographic and net worth profiles of the same audience according to the latest Survey of Consumer Finances from The Federal Reserve.
