NEW YORK — While Tom Cruise’s highly anticipated new movie, Valkyrie, opens in theaters December 26, 2008, his wife Katie Holmes is making ripples in the fashion world.

Katie Holmes will be the new face of the Italian fashion label Miu Miu beginning with their new 2009 Spring ad campaign.

While known for her exquisite fashion sense, Katie Holmes recently made few attempts at fashion design. Her self-designed outfits, however, did not receive much acclaim.

Holmes replaces Vanessa Paradis as the current face of Miu Miu. Other celebrity spokespeople in the past included Lindsay Lohan and Kirsten Dunts.

NEW YORK — “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively visited MTV’s “Total Request Live” Show last week to promote her big screen movie, “Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2.” Blake donned for the occasion a blue silk Vena Cava jumpsuit (from Resort 2009 Collection), Gemma Redux necklace, Miu Miu handbag and Christian Louboutin black shoes. This is not first time Blake wears Vena Cava jumpsuit.

August 2008 edition of Vanity Fair Magazine features great cover story, “Hollywood’s New Wave,” profiling young stars from hottest TV shows and movies including Blake Lively of “Gossip Girl” and Amanda Seyfried of “Mamma Mia!”

Naturally we wanted to see about outfits the Vanity Fair stylists put together for the new Hollywood IT girls.
