High End Designer Knockoffs That Let You Look Like A Star!

We reported earlier about the most worn dress on the red carpet this year – Yves Saint Laurent dress.

YSL Dress

Now we learn that Kate Moss’ label Topshop had come up with own version of the grey mini dress. Topshop’s dress, which retails for about $118, is called Bandeau dress by Boutique and bears a strong resemblance to Yves Saint Laurent dress. Look at the picture below and compare.

Now, take a look at the picture below. Can you tell which shoe is Givenchy and which is Steve Madden?

Steve Madden vs. Givenchy

If you choose the shoe on the left, you are going to save about $795. On the left is Steve Madden Gin black leather shoe which retails for $199. On the right is Givenchy shoe which retails from www.ShopBop.com for $995.

Okeydokey, here comes Steve Madden again along with an opportunity to save a few bucks. Look at the pictures below. The first picture shows Sarah Jessica  filming “Sex And The City: The Movie.” Sarah Jessica Parker wears Dior Extreme Cutout sandal in exotic python skin. These shoes can be purchased for about $780. The second picture shows Steve Madden creations — Maddiee shoes which retail for $109.

We support Steve Madden and others who create knockoffs of high end designers, for we believe that people with lower income should be able to afford to dress just like their favorite stars!

E-mail us at 21cs@live.com if you spotted any other usefull designer knockoffs — please no counterfit products — and we will feature them as well.

How Many Ways Can You Wear Gladiator Sandals?

Sarah Jessica ParkerIt’s mid-June now, but the gladiator sandal is undoubtedly still the “it” footwear of this summer. For that, we can thank gladiator-toting celebrities such as Mischa Barton, Sienna Miller, Kirsten Dunst, Naomi Campbell, and many others who played significant part in making gladiators a hot trend. Almost every famous female in Hollywood has been spotted wearing gladiators — from chunky platform heels to casual flats.

Gladiator sandals are so versatile, they go with practically everything. They can be paired with rolled-up jeans, skinny pants, all kinds of dresses, tunics for the beach and shorts. You can wear gladiators even to your wedding if you wish!

Dark-leather gladiators have an earthy appeal ideal for the day, while a gold or silver pair is a fresh alternative to glam heels. Whether gladiators are part of a casual or a glam ensemble, pedicure would be an essential accompaniment.

Amanda Bynes’ Dirt Cheap Clothes

Amanda Bynes

NEW YORK — In case if Amanda Bynes‘ Hollywood career fails, which is unlikely (she’s too sweet), she has a back-up career to turn to. Amanda is another starlet who joined ranks of celebrities-turned-fashion-designers. Bynes, 22, fulfilled her life-long passion for creating clothing by developing her fashion line, Dear by Amanda Bynes for retailer Steve & Barry’s.

The “Hairspray” star, who was closely involved in the design of the clothes, was quoted saying about her collection:

“I would like to wear it on a day-to-day basis. When I was growing up, I always wanted the coolest jeans and the ‘in shirt.’ But my parents would always say to me, ‘We’re not going to buy the most expensive thing, because you’re growing.’ “

Bynes said she’s glad that she can give high school and college-age girls a chance to wear her jackets for less than $20.

Amanda is not the only celebrity designing clothes for Steve & Barry’s. The discount retailer, whose merchandise is priced under $9, uses several celebrity designers and targets primarily teen shoppers. Steve & Barry’s features Bigger Than Basketball line of sneakers by New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury. ”Sex And The City” star Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing line, Bitten, and tennis star Venus Williams’ casual line, Eleven, are both featured exclusively by the retailer.
